Village Hall Transformations

When it comes to the perfect location for your wedding reception or special party, your first thought may be a million miles away from your local village hall. However by using a little creativity, there are a range of ways you can transform these often overlooked spaces into something beautiful for your big day on a not-so-big budget.

Wraysbury Village Hall was transformed from a modern village hall into the venue for a chic and elegant wedding reception.  Softening the partition with ivory draping, combined with soft amber uplighting and table candelabra transform the space into a simple but effective location for a stylish wedding reception.

Our venue transformation of Keston Village Hall included the use of warm white uplighters to softly illuminate the event space, giving it a warm and cosy feel. Additionally, the inclusion of a star cloth behind the stage area and a star gobo projection above the dance floor brings some glamour to the previously plain grey space. The transformation was completed and the venue left ready for the rest of the party to be set up.

Working with the original colour scheme at St Mary’s Village Hall, the space was transformed for a World War II themed party, reminiscent of the TV series “Goodnight Sweetheart”. All of the little elements such as the flags, bunting, crosses on windows, posters and cafe bottle centrepieces come together to incorporate the theme in a way that suits the venue.

Seen below are two transformations of Worfield Village Hall for wedding receptions. By using draping, the space is easily separated into suitable locations for both the reception dinner and dancing whilst also framing the top table and softening the windows. Table pinspots, wall uplighters and gobo projections provide warmth and ambience, drawing the eye into the centre of the room. Candelabras were used on both occasions to dress the tables, providing simple and elegant table centres that utilise the height of the reception space.

At Stressfree we work with you to make the most of your event space, either working with or covering over the original features of the room to match your colour scheme or event theme. Draping and colour wash lighting can create different atmospheres and bring a luxurious feel to your event.
