A Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding a secret garden party collaboration

We were absolutely thrilled to be invited by Emma Murray Jones and Xander Casey to collaborate on this stunning Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding photoshoot last summer.

In this blog post, Stressfree | The Venue Transformers shares some images from this truly beautiful photoshoot, featuring a bespoke filament lightbulb installation designed to hang low over the dining table.

We had the pleasure of working together with a dream-team of wedding suppliers, in a secret garden location, demonstrating what could be created in your own garden.

No hanging points? No worries!

In this situation, the location of the shoot was in the middle of a lawn. You may be aware that we often construct free-standing gantry systems to hang our lighting installations from, but this set-up was to be extremely dense – and therefore extremely heavy! Furthermore, as this was an exposed site, any gantry system would have to be very heavily weighted which would not only be difficult to hide in the photographs, but would also have interfered with the stunning floral archways. So our hanging system had to be as discrete as possible.

We therefore constructed a bespoke matrix over a much larger area, using trees and buildings as anchor points.

The matrix really faded into the background and was barely visible, ensuring that as light faded the effects really came to life and created a truly magical Midsummer Night’s Dream ambience.
