A Homespun Outdoor Rural Wedding
Rachel and Julian had a wonderful, truly homespun wedding, spread over a long weekend with barbecues, champagne breakfast, cocktail reception, sharing mezze and dancing.
This is the wedding that seemed to have absolutely everything imaginable, yet it looked uncluttered, had a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and the venue styling was beautiful. Months of preparation had gone into the decor, with homemade rustic furniture, signs, garden games and THE most stunning and unique pallet top table backdrop.
Family and friends arrived from the Thursday and, under Rachel’s meticulous supervision, set-up furniture, made all the centrepieces and wedding flowers, and dressed the venue from top to toe.
As a long-time employee, originally joining us from school work experience at 15, Rachel balanced her wedding design between her own props and items from our hire stock. Lanterns, flaming torches, fairy lights, draping and garden furniture provided the glue to complete the picture. By utilising the resources available to them, sourcing materials locally, upcycling, sharing with friends, hiring rather than buying, and recycling afterwards, this was a heart-warming wedding weekend experience like no other.
