In this blog post, Stressfree | The Venue Transformers show you some our beautiful work, styling and dressing weddings at The Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire in the pretty village of Dogmersfield, nr Hook, Hampshire.
Our couples are always looking for new ideas and inspiration for styling and dressing their wedding or event. This blog post demonstrates how to enhance a classic wedding held within this beautiful venue.
Say “I do” amid rolling hills and enchanting gardens once frequented by English royalty. Just one hour’s drive from central London, the Four Seasons Hampshire offers a traditional Georgian manor house nestled within 500 acres of green countryside, woodlands and pastures. Whether you desire an intimate orchard ceremony or a large celebration in the heart of the manor, they promise an unforgettable day.
Ballroom
The elegant Ballroom clearly lends itself to a traditional seated dinner. Lighting is key at all times and particularly so in venues which have no, or limited, natural light. “Essentials” to enhance your wedding within the Ballroom might include table pinspots to highlight the centrepieces, and uplighters to provide warmth and colour to the walls and ceiling.
Table pinspots highlight the centrepieces and wall uplighters in pink provide colour to the walls to complement the theme. The fabulous florals are by Love & Light.
TOP TIP! If your wedding is a little small for the room you have chosen, then consider using a partition to make your event space more intimate. For the two weddings below, we provided a soft partition in the form of a floor to ceiling drape. This may be kept in place throughout the event, or it can be opened following your wedding breakfast to reveal the dance floor, band or DJ. Reveals also work well if you have one large space for your event and wish to separate ceremony, dining, reception, dancing and so forth.

Lovely colourful wedding with partition drape, wall uplighters, illuminated circular bar, black starlit dancefloor and stage. The partition drape was swagged back at 3m intervals to reveal the DJ. Amazing florals provided by Paula Rooney
Lighting
Lighting really comes into its own as light falls and is a great tool for changing ambience between daytime and evening, where your event is all taking place within the same space. The options are endless and may be applied to pinspots and uplighters as seen already, as well as specialist lighting effects such as gobo projections. The effect may be further enhanced with starlit dancefloors, illuminated bars and other props.
The Twilight Trees seen in the last image was owned by the Four Seasons Hampshire, and props which are already available at the venue offer a wonderful bonus for you. Make sure you check out what your venue has available for you to use, when designing your decoration scheme.
To transform from day to evening, the colour of the uplighters was switched from amber to pink to complement the wedding colours and provide more of a party vibe. The starlit dancefloor and bespoke gobo projections provided added interest. A large round illuminated bar added a statement piece to the room and completely changed the feel of the reception ready for a fun, evening party. Large illuminated LOVE letters dressed the area outside the Ballroom to continue the theme.
